Toronto Hong Kong Film Festival 2022 – Clifton Ko Chi-Sum RETROSPECTIVE


To commemorate and celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Association of Canada China Business, Culture, Innovation, Exchange (CCBCIE) will present the Toronto Hong Kong Film Festival 2022 on July 30th and 31st at the Flato Markham Theatre with 3 movies showed each day.
This Festival creates a platform to share the Hong Kong films and Cantonese arts and culture with the local multicultural communities. Chinese residents in Toronto can rediscovering the experience of “going to the cinema to watch the show”. The Festival will contribute to the inheritance of Hong Kong-made films.
Hong Kong film industry was booming in the 1980s and 90s, leading and influencing the entire Asian market. It was the driving force the Asia market and many films achieved impressive box office performance. Over the years, Hong Kong nurtured many internationally renowned film talents, and Clifton Ko Chi-Sum is one of the most well-known directors. Chinese audiences around the world are deeply impressed by his works.
The theme for Toronto Hong Kong Film Festival 2022 is Clifton Ko Chi-Sum RETROSPECTIVE, his films are well-known and wildly loved. The six films that will be presented are “All’s Well, Ends Well”, “Merry Christmas”, “Wonder Mama”, “Legend of Mad Phoenix”, “I Have A Date With Spring”, and “Dearest Anita”.








During the Festival, the audience can watch the films and enjoy special foods at more than 20 different types of booths, visit movie exhibits and check out the Festival souvenirs. They can also participate in the lucky wheel of fortune game.
